Peter Blake’s Side show Portfolio features the 3 works pictured above. These etchings have been released alongside original woodcuts produced between 1974-1978 and exhibited with inspiration which he has collected over the years. It is the first time in over two decades that Peter Blake has produced works from wood engravings, a medium which he explored as an art student in the 1970’s.
“Throughout my life I’ve collected images of people that are different, that don’t conform to modern standards of beauty- tall people, small people, tattooed people, people who are supposedly oddities- and that’s who these wood-carvings were inspired by.”
The Drang Gallery is proud to present a fantastic selection on limited editions, working proofs and original drawings from the exhibition.
