We are delighted to share with you a new collection of works from Matthew Heller's Homage To Music series, a celebration of the cultural icons of our time! The Los Angeles based artist creates minimal paintings that use printed text to explore how language is recontextualised , interpreted, and occupies space.
I describe my work as minimal but with heart, using traditional materials and ideas in unexpected ways, aiming to provide viewers an opportunity to have an emotional experience that fosters self-reflection and introspection, as well as a new way to experience the familiar. -Matthew Heller
