Over the years Emin has sought inspiration from many sources. The works below are seen as a trio, each motivated by the aspirations of Athletes, Olympians and Paralympian's.
Birds became a manifestation of Paralympic values: 'Inspiration and Determination', which resulted in what Emin describes as a love letter. The two works which followed were again produced and released in line with athletic competitions. The trio have since become a very collectable series depicting aspirational quotes.

Emin's self portraits are extraordinary and intimate explorations of the self, interweaved with her feelings of grief, loss and longing. These images are raw and powerful, yet they sensitively depict the artists state of mind at the time of creation.
