Marc Quinn's collection explores the portal between inner and outer, the link between us and the world. His Iris works are born out of his fascination with eyes, referring to them as the doors of perception, each as singular as fingerprints.
Quinn's recent series Before and After Humans, explores our fascination with water. An essential element, one which we are made from and is necessary for survival. In these works the sea becomes a mythical open space which could just as easily be interpreted as sky or clouds. The images become timeless and placeless, as the planet was billions of years ago before the emergence of life on land.
