A Solo Show Of Engineered Art – Padstow
Until July 24th, our Padstow Gallery is holding a solo exhibition of the unique Engineered Art of Alastair Gibson.
With Alastair in attendance on the opening night Jul-13th, the exhibition had a great opening showcasing some of his finest works.
Drawing similarities between modern motorsport engineering and his love for the natural world, Alastair uses his acquired engineering skills and experience to recycle F1 car parts sourced from Grand Prix teams to show his passion for art through his signature medium of carbon fibre sculpture.
The Drang gallery is known internationally for its dedicated relationship with artist Alastair Gibson. Inspired by his lengthy career as a balance engineer in Formula One motor racing, his later success as a solo fine artist has seen Gibson win recognition across both the art sector and also the motor sports world. The Drang gallery has succeeded in growing the reputation of Alastair Gibson’s artwork on a global scale, and by doing so Alastair has become the leading exponent of carbon-fibre in the art world.
Visit Drang Padstow between July 13-24th to view works such as the Engineered Hammer, Engineered Emotion and Rocking Sculptures.
