Join us in Burford this October for a solo exhibition of original paintings by Jack Davis. Compelled by the light and artistic heritage, Davis made the move to Cornwall in 2009. He has since established a distinctive visual language, combining a variety of marks, textures and layers to create an immersive and expressive response to the Cornish coastline.
I am drawn to the raw power of the natural environment and the sublime effect of light. I try to harness the impulsive energy of my subject matter and create order out of chaos like the landscape I inhabit.
