James Lewin
I had never encountered anything like the Winterthorn forests lining the riverbanks of the Lower Zambezi, which feel enchanted, almost surreal, and I immediately made the forest my focus, drawn to the opportunities to frame moments that feel reminiscent of a dream.
Increasingly, I am drawn to combining landscapes with wildlife where composition and emotion take precedence. The fallen tree forms a frame within a frame, while Meeveās Starlings rise toward their nests, and the entire scene glows against the depths of the forest, creating an atmosphere unlike anything I have experienced. This is an extremely special image, one I have within my own collection at home.
