Ben Flynn, (street name Eine) shot to international fame when David Cameron presented his ‘Twenty First Century City’ print to President Barrack Obama as a gift on his first official state visit in July 2010. Eine’s ‘Alphabet City’ has also achieved international acclaim and is described by The Times as ‘a street now internationally recognized as a living piece of art with direct links to the White House’. The giant letters on the shop shutters along Shoreditch’s Middlesex Street are painted in Eine’s trademark colours and signature typography.
Eien’s textural works dot the skylines of London, Berlin and LA. Statements of cryptic meaning including ‘Brighter Faster’, ‘Calculate’, ‘Revolution’ and ‘Create’ offer courageous and daring personal challenges.
