Lucy Farley is inspired by places of interest and history. Her aim is to build up a record of time, spirit and changing feelings, which occur through travel and personal experience. Lucy often works in situ in the landscape on printmaking plates, paper and draftmaking film, achieving a sense of spontaneity in her original drawings and an instinctive use of sweeping lines and vibrant colour in her finished works.
Lucy lives and works in London and studied at Central St. Martins. She completed her MA in printmaking from the Royal College of Art in 2009 and recently concluded a two-year Fellowship at the Royal Academy.
She has exhibited at the ‘Originals’ Printmaking show at the Mall Galleries in London and The Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
